Sweep (liquidity sweep)
A candle that trades through a swing high or low but opens and closes back on the near side of it.
Why it matters
It shows the orders beyond a swing were triggered and price did not hold there. On BTC's 4-hour and hourly charts, price turned after a sweep no more often than after any candle.
