Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
This policy explains what Discernment AI (discernmentai.de) stores about you and why. If you have a question about your data, write to support@discernmentai.de.
What we collect
If you use the site without an account
Your browser keeps your settings (theme, chosen pair and timeframe, watchlist, chart drawings) in its local storage; they stay on your device.
We do not store your IP address. Our server uses it for a few minutes only, to protect the site from floods of requests. Only an address that sends too many requests is noted, for 24 hours; one that keeps doing so is blocked, and kept while the block lasts (24 hours, or longer if we block it by hand).
To count visits, we keep a one-way code made from your IP address and browser type with a secret key that changes every day and is deleted after two days. The code cannot be turned back into your address, and the same visitor gets a new code every day. Visit counts are deleted after 24 hours.
If you create an account
- your username, email address and password (stored only as a one-way hash, never in plain text);
- what you choose to add: an avatar, a short bio, posts, comments, votes and saved posts;
- when the account was created.
Cookies
We use two cookies, only to keep you signed in: one for up to 60 minutes and one for up to 7 days. We use no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.
AI Brief keys and purchases
An AI Brief key is a random code that holds your balance of briefs; it is kept in your browser and, if you choose, on your account. Payments are made in cryptocurrency through NOWPayments. We store the order number, the product, the amount, the coin and the payment status. We never see your wallet's private data, and no card or bank details are involved. NOWPayments processes the payment under its own privacy policy.
Telegram
If you use our Telegram bot, we store your Telegram user ID, username, first name and whether you receive news. If you connect a channel, we store the channel's ID, title and subscription period.
Server logs
Our server keeps technical logs (requests, errors and events, which may include an account number, but no IP addresses) for a few days; older logs are deleted automatically.
Who else is involved
- Hosting: our servers are run by netcup GmbH in Germany (EU).
- AI features: AI Brief notes and news summaries are written with Google Gemini. We send market data only — never your name, email or other personal data.
- Market data: your browser loads prices and order books directly from Binance and the Fear & Greed index from alternative.me. These requests go from your browser to them, under their own policies.
- Images: some logos and icons load from Telegram, Binance and CoinMarketCap servers.
- Email: mail to support@discernmentai.de is forwarded by ImprovMX.
We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising. Cards marked “Ad” in the feed are links paid for by advertisers; they do not track you.
Why we use your data
Under the GDPR, we use your data:
- to provide your account and what you bought (performance of a contract);
- to keep the site secure and to count visits without identifying you (legitimate interest).
How long we keep it
Your account data is kept until you delete your account. Order records are kept for accounting; when you delete your account, they are no longer linked to you.
Your rights
You can see and change your profile at any time. You can delete your account in your profile settings: your posts, comments, votes, saved posts and images are deleted with it. You may also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it, by writing to support@discernmentai.de. If you live in the EU, you may complain to your data protection authority.
Age
The site is not intended for people under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
