Update to UPDATE: Binance exploiters route 81% of stolen Solana via THORChain

Based on reporting by CryptoSlate; not yet independently confirmed.

The Binance attacker redistributed 233.46 million stolen XRP worth roughly $294 million across seven wallets, following earlier transfers of stolen Solana through THORChain.

The attacker behind the Binance breach redistributed 233.46 million stolen XRP, valued at roughly $294 million, across seven new addresses, according to blockchain analytics firm Bitquery. As previously reported, the perpetrators had focused on laundering stolen Solana (SOL) by routing the majority of those funds through THORChain.

Bitquery reported that the hacker executed test transfers before dividing the funds, creating five addresses holding around 40 million XRP each and another holding 33.46 million XRP. Binance previously stated that five of its hot wallets were drained on October 29. CryptoSlate reported that the transfers generated six accounts that surpassed the 1-million-token mark, debunking speculation that an increase in large XRP wallets reflected genuine institutional accumulation.

Bitquery confirmed that no outgoing transactions have taken place from the recipient addresses. Binance stated on November 3 that it would cover the financial impact of the breach, noting that 98% of the affected token assets had been replenished by October 31.
