MeshWallet Secures $10 Million to Develop Gasless TRON USDT Transactions
CIE News ·
Tallinn-based fintech firm MeshWallet has successfully concluded a $10 million private financing round aimed at scaling its proprietary self-custodial wallet infrastructure. The funding, which was secured through contributions from a consortium of private investors and family offices, is designated to expand the platform's capabilities for both retail consumers and enterprise-level merchants. This capital injection marks a strategic move by MeshWallet to capture a significant share of the stablecoin transaction market by addressing one of the primary friction points in decentralized finance: the requirement for native network tokens to pay for transaction gas.
The core value proposition of the MeshWallet platform lies in its technical ability to abstract away the complexity of gas management on the TRON network. Currently, users sending USDT on TRON typically must hold TRX to pay for network fees, a requirement that complicates user experience for non-technical retail participants and creates overhead for enterprise merchants. MeshWallet utilizes a mechanism that allows transaction fees to be settled directly in USDT. By removing the necessity for users to hold native TRX balances, the wallet simplifies the process of interacting with USDT-denominated assets, positioning itself as a streamlined interface for mass-market stablecoin usage. The platform effectively internalizes the fee settlement process, ensuring that the burden of native token management is removed from the end-user while maintaining the security parameters of a self-custodial architecture.
With the capital now secured, MeshWallet is positioned to move into its next phase of operational scaling. The company intends to deploy these funds to enhance its infrastructure, specifically focusing on the integration of merchant-facing tools that will enable seamless integration with the firm’s gasless transaction protocol. As the project transitions from this financing round to full-scale development, the focus remains on fortifying the wallet’s core mechanism to ensure stability and reliable throughput for users transacting in USDT across the TRON ecosystem.
