CIE News ·
The Ethena Foundation is executing a vesting acceleration releasing roughly 1.41 billion ENA tokens on October 5, 2026, terminating investor lockups 17 months earlier than scheduled.
The Ethena Foundation is advancing the final stages of a vesting consolidation ahead of an unlock on October 5, 2026. The move frees approximately 1.41 billion Ethena (ENA) tokens, valued between $212 million and $381 million, according to cryptoticker.io. This acceleration concludes investor lockup periods 17 months early instead of continuing through the initial schedule that ran until March 2028.
According to cryptoticker.io, the release represents about 14 percent of the circulating supply. Meanwhile, core contributor and team token allocations are slated to stay on separate linear schedules.
CoinMarketCap reported that ENA fell roughly 6 percent over a 24-hour period amid broader market sensitivity to supply events, including a smaller release of about 40.63 million ENA scheduled for October 2. Market participants continue to track the accelerated release, which modifies the circulating supply profile for the asset.
