Arbitrum joined the Paxos-led Global Dollar Network as the USDG stablecoin went live on the layer-2 network on October 6, 2026, according to CoinDesk. The token launched with integrations across platforms such as GMX, Morpho, and Kraken, with Paxos issuing the asset backed one-for-one by dollar reserves and reporting more than $3 billion in circulation across networks. A governance proposal published Tuesday asked ArbitrumDAO to prioritize USDG, allocate 100 million ARB to its DRIP incentive initiative, and deploy treasury assets to back liquidity.
