UPDATE: Winklevoss S-1 filing targets Nasdaq for spot Zcash ETF

CIE News ·

An S-1 filing reveals the Winklevoss spot Zcash ETF plans to list on Nasdaq, with Winklevoss Capital expressing non-binding interest to buy up to $100M in shares.

Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss filed an S-1 registration statement with the SEC to list their proposed spot Zcash ETF on Nasdaq, Decrypt reported. As previously reported, Winklevoss Asset Services filed for the trust under the ticker WINK with a proposed 0.25% sponsor fee.

The regulatory filing outlines that Winklevoss Capital Fund holds a non-binding interest in purchasing up to $100 million of shares in the offering. Gemini is designated to hold the fund's Zcash (ZEC) in cold storage as custodian, according to Decrypt.

The trust also selected Cypherpunk Technologies to serve as its ecosystem partner to provide guidance on protocol decisions and coinholder voting. The SEC must approve the filing before trading can begin on Nasdaq.
