U.S. spot Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded funds recorded a net outflow of $228.6 million for the week ending October 18, 2026, Decrypt reported. The decline followed net redemptions of $681.1 million the previous week, bringing cumulative exits over the two-week stretch to roughly $910 million. Outflows outpaced inflows on three of the five trading sessions, ending with an $82.4 million reduction on Friday, based on Decrypt's ETF tracker.
The week showed shifting investor activity, starting with $175.7 million in net inflows on Tuesday before giving way to $261.4 million in net redemptions on Wednesday, Decrypt reported. Redemptions occurred alongside the release of September consumer price index data showing a 3.7% year-over-year increase, ahead of expectations. Thursday then logged a modest $5.1 million inflow as producer price metrics prompted expectations of further Federal Reserve interest rate increases.
The consecutive weeks of redemptions left October net outflows at approximately $615 million, according to Decrypt's tracker. BTC traded near $81,590 at Friday's close, down from roughly $82,337 the week prior.
