Franklin Templeton issued $150 million in sgBENJI shares on the XRP Ledger across two transactions, routing all tokens into a single wallet that holds the network's entire fund balance.

Franklin Templeton added approximately $150 million worth of shares in its sgBENJI money market fund to the XRP Ledger on October 22, 2026. Ledger records reviewed by CoinDesk show the issuance occurred across two batches of over 72,184,793 shares priced at $1.039 each, following two $75 million cash subscription receipts. All newly created shares were sent to a single wallet, which now holds the fund's entire XRPL balance of nearly 193 million shares valued at about $200 million.

According to CoinDesk, the recipient wallet shares eight authorized signers with Franklin Templeton's issuing account, allowing any two to jointly approve transfers. The underlying fund, known as the Singapore-domiciled Franklin OnChain U.S. Dollar Short-Term Money Market Fund, requires issuer approval for direct XRPL holding and retains controls to freeze or recover balances.

Whether the single holding address functions as an omnibus account for multiple participants or represents a single investor remains unconfirmed, as transaction receipts did not reveal funding sources or investor identities. Franklin Templeton had not responded to requests for comment regarding the wallet's structure as of Saturday morning in Asia.
