Osmosis has halted daily token emissions after Prop 1053 passed with 91.1% approval, moving staking rewards entirely to protocol revenue, according to Cryptonews.

Cosmos-based decentralized exchange Osmosis formally eliminated inflationary token issuance on October 27, 2026, following the passage of governance proposal Prop 1053 with 91.1% of participating voting power in favor, according to Cryptonews. The upgrade reportedly reduced the daily mint of 91,324 newly issued OSMO to zero at the scheduled epoch rollover. Cryptonews stated that future staking rewards are now funded directly by protocol revenue instead of programmatic token inflation, with subsequent OSMO burns structured to create net supply deflation.
