Circle's USDC has secured 56% of euro stablecoin trading volume as European Union MiCA regulations prompt exchanges to restrict USDT, according to Kaiko data reported by Cointelegraph.
Circle's USDC has reached a 56% share of euro stablecoin trading volume as of October 2026, according to Kaiko data reported by Cointelegraph. The shift, underway since January 2024, stems from crypto exchanges curbing Tether (USDT) availability in compliance with the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. Kaiko noted that these regulatory restrictions have diminished USDT market share and allowed USDC to establish deeper euro-denominated liquidity than its rivals.
