Glossary

R (R-multiple)

A trade's result measured in units of the amount risked on it: a stopped-out trade is −1R, a win of three times the risk is +3R.

Why it matters

It makes trades of different sizes and stops comparable, so a journal shows whether the plan's arithmetic works.
