Whale

A trader or an order that is large compared with a market's usual size. The terminal marks a BTC trade as a whale at $25,000 or more and 20 times the recent average trade.

Why it matters

A large trade shows that someone traded big in a hurry — not why. It may open a position, close one, or hedge a trade elsewhere.
