Aggressor
The taker in a trade: the buyer who accepted the ask, or the seller who accepted the bid. Order-flow tools count volume by the aggressor's side.
Why it matters
Every trade has a buyer and a seller, so volume alone cannot say who pushed. The aggressor side can: it is the side that was in a hurry.
