Practice: read the move on real BTC charts

Reading order flow is a skill, and skills take practice. Ten real moments; after each answer the next 12 hours are revealed — including the times the reading did not pay off.

You will learn
  • Tell confirmation, divergence and absorption apart on real charts
  • See how often each reading was followed by the move it suggests

Before you start: The lessons on volume delta and CVD, and on CVD divergence.

How it works

Each moment is a real stretch of BTC/USDT on Binance: 36 hourly candles with CVD under them. The last candle is the moment. Say which of four readings it shows:

  • Confirmation — price and CVD make a new high, or a new low, together.
  • Bearish divergence — price makes a new high, CVD does not.
  • Bullish divergence — price makes a new low, CVD does not.
  • Absorption — CVD moves hard for hours while price barely moves.

Then the chart shows the next 12 hours, with the reasoning behind the answer.

Read the move — ten real BTC/USDT moments between March and October 2026, each shown as 36 hourly candles with CVD: three confirmations, two bearish divergences, three bullish divergences and two cases of absorption. After each answer the next 12 hours are revealed. In 6 of the 10 moments price went the way the reading suggests; in 4 it did not.

Reading is not forecasting

The score is for the reading — what the chart shows — not for guessing the future. Four of the ten moments did not go the way the reading suggests: a bearish and a bullish divergence that failed, a breakout that faded, and absorption that gave way. Real charts are like that, and a drill that only showed the winners would teach the wrong lesson.

Takeaways
  1. Confirmation: price and CVD make new highs or lows together.
  2. Divergence: price makes a new high or low, CVD does not.
  3. Absorption: CVD moves hard while price stays flat.
  4. A correct reading is not a correct forecast — four of these ten moments went the other way.
