Confirmed by official primary sources.
Binance has replenished roughly 95% of assets taken in its $6.3 billion hack, recorded $3.64 billion in net outflows, and scheduled a secondary Proof of Reserves snapshot.
Binance has recovered or replenished approximately 95% of customer assets following an October 29 security breach that drained about $6.3 billion from hot wallets. As previously reported, the exchange began reopening withdrawals across networks including BNB Chain and Ethereum after an engineer's device compromise led to the theft.
During the initial reopening period, Binance processed $4.65 billion in gross withdrawals against $1.01 billion in deposits, leaving a net outflow of $3.64 billion. The exchange noted that this outflow represented roughly 2.1% of its reported $171 billion in total customer assets under management.
Binance confirmed it will absorb the financial impact of the incident through its corporate treasury and Secure Asset Fund for Users. The exchange has also scheduled a secondary Proof of Reserves snapshot for November 4, 2026, which requires 40 to 50 hours of zero-knowledge computation.
