DoubleZero schedules 1.66 billion 2Z token unlock for October 2

CIE News ·

DoubleZero will release 1.66 billion 2Z tokens valued at up to $114 million on October 2, 2026, marking a major cliff unlock that expands the circulating supply.

DoubleZero is scheduled to unlock 1.66 billion DoubleZero (2Z) tokens on October 2, 2026, exactly one year after the asset began trading, according to reports from KuCoin and bitrue.com. The upcoming release is valued between $113.20 million and $114 million. It accounts for 16.55% of the asset's 10 billion total supply and represents 47.69% of the circulating float.

KuCoin reported that the unlocked supply will be distributed across seven recipient groups. Jump Crypto is slated to receive 575 million 2Z, while Malbec Labs will obtain 350 million and institutional participants will receive 300 million. The remaining tokens include 250 million for the core team, 100 million for external contributors, 50 million for builders, and 30 million allocated to validators.

The 2Z token functions as an SPL token on the Solana network, where DoubleZero operates dedicated network routing links for distributed protocols. According to bitrue.com, the October event represents a major cliff-style distribution that will significantly alter the circulating supply, with roughly 35% of the total supply already circulating in late September 2026.
