An early Uniswap whale transferred approximately 1.37 million Uniswap (UNI), valued at around $12.9 million, to market maker Wintermute's hot wallet following withdrawals from Coinbase Prime. According to CoinMarketCap, the transfer triggered an institutional over-the-counter profit-taking wave that contributed to a 9.1% price decline to $9.10 and a 45% spike in daily spot volume. The sell-off followed a multi-week rally where the token had doubled, with traders and analysts also attributing the downside pressure to capital rotation into Bitcoin (BTC).
