Stripe plans to expand its stablecoin card offerings to more than 100 countries by the end of 2026, according to CoinDesk, integrating digital dollar payouts with existing card networks.

Payments firm Stripe intends to expand its stablecoin card programs to more than 100 countries by the end of 2026, CoinDesk reported. Henri Stern, co-founder of wallet infrastructure firm Privy, has taken on an expanded role overseeing crypto and stablecoins across Stripe. Stern stated that the product aims to let businesses issue cards using stablecoins without creating separate financial infrastructure in every jurisdiction.

The stablecoin card initiative integrates Stripe's issuing business, which has issued over 400 million cards since 2018, with Bridge, the stablecoin firm Stripe bought for $1.1 billion in 2024. Current clients using the offering include crypto exchange Kraken, corporate spend management platform Ramp, and payments app Morse. Many setups currently utilize USD Coin (USDC), though Stern told CoinDesk the company intends to stay blockchain- and stablecoin-agnostic.

Stripe is also developing other crypto products, including tokenized deposits and payments on Tempo, a blockchain built alongside Paradigm. While monthly stablecoin card spending reached approximately $1.2 billion according to Paymentscan, Stern stated that the bulk of Stripe's digital asset operations remains centered on stablecoins.
