The number of unique wallets sending peer-to-peer stablecoin transactions within China grew 43-fold between Q1 2024 and Q2 2026, according to a report by Chainalysis cited by Cointelegraph on October 5, 2026. The blockchain analytics firm reported that regional cryptocurrency activity increasingly moved toward direct wallet-to-wallet transfers over the two-year period despite existing restrictions.
