Securitize rolls out tokenized U.S. stocks on Solana blockchain
CIE News ·
Securitize has launched tokenized shares for 12 major U.S. companies on Solana, backed by actual shares with USDC settlement, according to a press release shared with CoinDesk.
Tokenization platform Securitize has launched Securitize Stocks on the Solana (SOL) blockchain, according to a report by CoinDesk. The initial deployment covers 12 major U.S. firms, including Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, Netflix, Circle, Strategy, and Palantir.
Securitize stated that each token is backed by an actual share, structured to preserve economic benefits such as dividends and voting rights while representing security entitlements rather than direct registry ownership. Jump Trading provides liquidity for the market, with trades settling in the USDC stablecoin. Eligible investors in the U.S., Europe, and other permitted jurisdictions can trade during extended hours, with intentions to broaden trading to around-the-clock availability.
RQD provides the clearing, custody, and settlement infrastructure to connect the tokens to traditional securities markets, while Ripple Prime is exploring institutional applications. Securitize also plans to expand trading to the New York Stock Exchange's digital trading platform and the OKXICE Tokenized Securities Venue, both of which are pending launch and regulatory approvals.
