Bitget has completed the final phase of its customer withdrawal resumptions following the unauthorized transfer of $387.5 million from its hot and warm wallets on September 24, 2026. According to crypto.news, Chainalysis deployed automated tools to trace funds across cross-chain bridges within ten minutes, mapping trails where stolen XRP was swapped into Bitcoin (BTC). The firm attributed the attack to North Korea, while Bitget confirmed that a compromised third-party security product enabled the forged withdrawal commands alongside forensic partners including Mandiant and SlowMist.
