US spot Bitcoin ETFs lost $244.13 million on October 9, 2026, bringing two-day outflows past $700 million, while spot XRP ETFs gained $8.17 million.

U.S. spot Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded funds posted $244.13 million in net outflows on October 9, 2026, extending cumulative withdrawals across two sessions to over $700 million. Total assets held across spot Bitcoin funds dropped to $104.91 billion. In contrast, U.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded $8.17 million in positive net inflows on the same day, led by Franklin Templeton.

Redemptions from spot Bitcoin funds were driven primarily by Fidelity's FBTC, which saw $197.09 million in net outflows. ARKB shed $20.29 million, BITB lost $17.71 million, GBTC recorded $8.20 million in redemptions, and IBIT logged $5.54 million in outflows. EZBC was the only fund to post inflows, taking in $4.71 million.

According to Bitcoin.com News, the sustained ETF outflows coincided with BTC briefly touching a month-to-date low of $80,308 before climbing back toward $83,000 on October 9. Bitunix analysts stated that $220.17 million in long Bitcoin positions were liquidated against $45.71 million in short positions during the downturn, noting that leveraged buyers absorbed most of the market impact.
