Astroport halts tokenholder governance on Neutron and Terra

CIE News ·

Astroport has cut ASTRO emissions to zero and ended tokenholder governance on Neutron and Terra, moving protocol management to contributor teams following a September governance attack.

Astroport has eliminated tokenholder voting on Neutron and Terra, shifting management to contributor teams via chain-specific DAO DAO entities, according to The Defiant. ASTRO emissions have been cut to zero, and all vxASTRO and ASTRO governance functions have stopped immediately. To block unauthorized proposals, the protocol set a 100% onchain quorum on the Neutron Assembly contract. The team cited a September governance attack on Neutron and the declining market valuation of ASTRO for the changes.
