According to CryptoRank, the Sui Foundation committed $30 million to migrate AI protocol DATA Network to Sui, retiring its independent chain and swapping tokens 1:1.
The Sui Foundation confirmed a $30 million investment into AI training data protocol DATA Network to migrate its ecosystem onto the Sui blockchain, CryptoRank reported on October 12, 2026. Under the agreement, DATA Network will shut down its independent blockchain and transition its native tokens to Sui on a 1:1 basis, while using Walrus as its default decentralized storage layer. The investment makes the Sui Foundation the largest institutional holder in the protocol alongside PIP Labs and the DATA Foundation.
