Nasdaq (NDAQ) has decided to opt out of having its shares tokenized under the SEC's new framework, CoinDesk reported. A spokesperson told the Wall Street Journal that the company does not want its stock traded on platforms that fail to display best prices in real time or report trades to the consolidated tape. The decision emerged amid wider pushback against OKXICE, an OKX and ICE venture aiming to trade tokenized shares, though Nasdaq was not listed among the nine formal objecting issuers in the venture's October 15 notice.
