Whales transferred over 1.66 billion XRP to Binance, bringing exchange balances to a seven-month peak of 22.06 billion XRP as futures open interest shrank 26% and spot ETFs posted weekly outflows.

CryptoQuant reported that whale entities deposited more than 1.66 billion XRP onto Binance within a 10-hour span on October 19, 2026. The incoming transfers pushed aggregate XRP reserves across tracked centralized exchanges to 22.06 billion XRP, reaching a seven-month high. The transactions have been confirmed on the XRP Ledger.

The large deposits coincided with shifting market metrics, including a 26% contraction in futures open interest to $2.8 billion. crypto.news reported that US spot XRP exchange-traded funds recorded roughly $1.84 million in net withdrawals during the October 12–16 trading period, snapping a 13-week streak of net inflows. During that period, Bitwise's XRP fund logged about $3.01 million in redemptions, while Franklin Templeton's XRPZ absorbed $3.64 million.

Despite the exchange inflows, XRP traded around $1.31 on October 19 with 24-hour spot volume rising 49.2% to roughly $1.44 billion, according to CoinGecko data cited by crypto.news. Separately, CryptoQuant analyst CryptoOnchain reported that exchange reserves had reached 11.81 billion tokens on October 17, placing balances in the 99th percentile over the previous 365 days.
