Microsoft, Alphabet, and Goldman Sachs are among seven new firms opposing tokenized trading of their shares on OKX-ICE. The total number of objecting issuers has climbed to 16, CoinDesk reported.
Microsoft (MSFT), Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL), and Goldman Sachs (GS) have formally opposed the trading of tokenized versions of their equities on OKX-ICE, according to CoinDesk. A joint venture public notice dated October 19, 2026, revealed that Qualcomm (QCOM), Caterpillar (CAT), McDonald’s (MCD), and Western Digital (WDC) also submitted objections. The latest filings bring the total tally of objecting issuers to 16, up from nine named the previous week.
The venture between crypto exchange OKX and New York Stock Exchange parent Intercontinental Exchange intends to function under the SEC’s five-year Innovation Exemption, which permits qualified platforms to trade tokenized U.S. equities via automated market makers. OKX-ICE originally listed 63 tickers representing 62 companies in an October 5 announcement. Fifteen of those original firms have now objected, while 47 have not filed objections. Cerebras Systems (CBRS) also objected despite being omitted from the initial trading list.
The public filing does not disclose when the pushback was submitted or provide reasons for the companies' decisions, CoinDesk reported. Earlier objectors on the roster included Broadcom (AVGO), Verizon (VZ), UnitedHealth (UNH), CoreWeave (CRWV), AppLovin (APP), Applied Digital (APLD), Rocket Lab (RKLB), and Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI).
