The Bank of Russia expanded its official register of crypto exchange operators to 17 firms by adding Prosto LLC, DL News reported. The registry, alongside a separate list of eight digital depositories including Sberbank and VTB, enforces a digital currency law that took effect on September 1, 2026. Lenders holding both authorizations can execute crypto trades directly and maintain records of client assets, with non-qualified buyers restricted to an annual cap of 300,000 roubles for liquid digital assets after completing an exam.
