Liquidity

How easily something can be bought or sold without moving its price much — in practice, how many orders wait near the price.

Why it matters

In a liquid market large orders fill close to the current price. When liquidity is thin — on small coins, at weekends and in quiet hours, or around news — the same order moves the price further.
