Updated tracking shows total liquidations have risen to between $254 million and $266.56 million, affecting approximately 70,000 trader accounts. Market movements also triggered a 2,633% liquidation imbalance alongside a 15.29% reduction in total derivatives open interest.
The single largest wipeout occurred on HTX, where a Bitcoin (BTC) short position valued at $6.92 million against USDT was liquidated. According to Bitcoin.com News, the volatility followed the release of U.S. PCE inflation data, which initially sent BTC above $85,500 before the price fell back toward $84,350.
