Stand With Crypto announces Senate and House endorsements for midterm races

CIE News ·

Stand With Crypto has revealed its first Senate endorsements, backing candidates across party lines as crypto political spending approaches $200 million, Decrypt reported.

Stand With Crypto announced its initial Senate endorsements on September 30, 2026, marking a strategic shift toward direct campaign trail involvement, Decrypt reported. The Coinbase-founded advocacy group endorsed Republican Jon Husted in Ohio against Democrat Sherrod Brown, an outspoken crypto critic. The group also backed Republican Ashley Hinson in Iowa and Democrat Chris Pappas in New Hampshire.

On the House side, the group endorsed Iowa Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Alabama Democrat Shomari Figures, according to Decrypt. While Stand With Crypto does not donate funds directly, it mobilizes an estimated 3 million supporters to grade politicians and drive voter turnout. The group reported plans to run advertising campaigns across six additional races.

The push follows the defeat of the Clarity Act in a 49 to 50 Senate vote, Decrypt reported. Favorable ratings from the group frequently align with external financial backing, including a $30 million campaign by Fairshake PAC targeting Brown. Total political spending from the crypto sector is now approaching $200 million during this cycle, according to the report.
