UPDATE: Ethena unlock figure revised to 3.03B ENA under StablecoinX waiver

CIE News ·

Ethena will release about 3.03 billion ENA tokens on October 5, 2026, after granting a waiver to StablecoinX. The updated figure represents roughly 20% of the token's total supply.

Synthetic dollar protocol Ethena is set to lift restrictions on approximately 3.03 billion ENA tokens on October 5, 2026, following a waiver granted to an entity named StablecoinX. As previously reported, earlier estimates placed the October 5 unlock at roughly 1.41 billion ENA tokens before the disclosure of the StablecoinX agreement.

According to CoinMarketCap, the newly disclosed allocation represents around 20% of the total ENA supply. The waiver eliminates historical lockup, vesting, and transfer rules, permitting the tokens to be released under established disposal procedures.

Following the announcement and broader capital rotation toward Bitcoin (BTC), ENA fell approximately 9% over a 25-hour window, CoinMarketCap reported. Core contributor and team allocations remain on separate linear schedules.
