Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs implemented asset-freezing sanctions against crypto exchange Garantex Europe OU alongside 33 entities and nine individuals, crypto.news reported. Authorized under the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act, the measures require government permission for payments as well as capital transactions involving deposits, trusts, and loans linked to the platform's offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
