Ondo Finance debuts Ondo Private Markets for tokenized pre-IPO assets

Ondo Finance launched Ondo Private Markets to bring tokenized exposure to private companies onchain, starting with a pre-IPO AI firm featuring 24/7 secondary trading.

Ondo Finance announced the launch of Ondo Private Markets on October 6, 2026, introducing tokenized notes designed to provide economic exposure to private companies. According to a PR Newswire release, the initial offering launches the week of October 6, 2026, offering 24/7 secondary market trading linked to a pre-IPO artificial intelligence firm.

The initiative issues tokenized debt notes rather than actual equity shares, providing no direct shareholder or ownership rights in referenced companies. Payouts from each note connect to the per-share value realized on common stock during qualifying liquidity events. Ondo stated that the resulting assets are freely transferable and structured to serve as composable collateral across decentralized finance lending protocols.

Ondo noted that 87% of United States firms generating over $100 million in annual revenue remain privately owned, excluding retail investors from traditional venture exits. The firm plans to expand the platform beyond AI to include private assets across robotics, cybersecurity, biotech, and infrastructure.
