Russia registered its first crypto exchanges and custodians under a new framework, with Sberbank planning to offer Bitcoin, Ether, and USDT products on Dec. 1, 2026, according to Cointelegraph.

Russia officially registered its first group of cryptocurrency exchanges and custodians under a new regulatory law, Cointelegraph reported on October 7, 2026. Sberbank, the country's largest bank, is among the approved entities and joined the registry as a custodian. Sberbank plans to introduce products for Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), and Tether (USDT) across its platforms on December 1, 2026.
