Wells Fargo is in talks with Kraken operator Payward to serve as a crypto liquidity provider for the bank, according to CoinDesk. Sources familiar with the matter stated that the proposed agreement would involve Payward supplying liquidity for digital asset trading, though the private discussions have not yet been finalized. The move follows Wells Fargo's prior expansion into crypto initiatives, which include offering spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds to eligible wealth clients and advising Nasdaq on its $100 million investment in Payward.
