Samsung will enable cross-border USDC remittances to more than 60 countries across Solana and Sui blockchains, expanding on its previously reported wallet partnership with Coinbase. According to CoinDesk, the service is scheduled to launch in the final week of October 2026 across 82 million Galaxy devices in the United States, allowing funds to be sent to external crypto wallets or directly to bank accounts in local currencies.
Technical details reported by CoinDesk show that Bastion will supply regulated infrastructure, while Coinbase Prime Vault provides custody for user balances. Samsung stated it will not charge fees for USDC transfers to compatible external wallets, though recipient platforms may apply their own charges. Transfers will require biometric authentication on registered devices.
