Bitcoin (BTC) immediate price responsiveness to U.S. Consumer Price Index releases has climbed to its highest level since 2020, according to findings published by BitGo Research on October 20, 2026. cryptonews.net reported that multi-asset desks and macro hedge funds are increasingly utilizing spot BTC and Bitcoin-linked derivatives to trade views on inflation and the Federal Reserve's monetary path.

Recent market volatility showed sharp reactions to 0.1% deviations in CPI data. These shifts have determined whether BTC defends liquidity zones between $80,000 and $82,000 or faces cascading long liquidations.

According to CryptoSlate, September CPI accelerated to 3.7% from 3.4%, which contributed to BTC falling below $80,000 on October 15. Sygnum investment strategist Can-Luca Köymen noted that the bank's base case is a range-bound market between $80,000 and $87,000, while Glassnode identified recurring spot bid support around the $80,000 mark.
