CIE News ·

Ethena will release a separate 172 million ENA tokens on October 5 alongside its 3.03 billion token waiver, while Hyperliquid prepares to release 3.75 million HYPE tokens on October 6.

Ethena is scheduled to release roughly 172 million ENA tokens valued between $40.18 million and $40.69 million at 07:00 UTC on October 5. As previously reported, transfer restrictions on approximately 3.03 billion investor-allocated ENA tokens are also being waived starting October 5 following an agreement granted to StablecoinX, which accounts for about 20% of the total ENA supply.

In addition, Hyperliquid is set to execute a contract-level vesting release of about 3.75 million HYPE tokens to its team and core contributors at 00:00 UTC on October 6. The HYPE distribution represents 1.69% of the token's circulating supply and carries an estimated value of $337.88 million.

According to CoinMarketCap, ENA fell roughly 9% over a 25-hour window heading into the week as market participants reacted to the upcoming supply expansion alongside capital rotation into Bitcoin.
