Coinbase will halt trading for STG and PYR on November 6, 2026, and convert non-MiCA stablecoins to USDC for EEA users on October 30, 2026.
Coinbase will suspend spot trading for Stargate Finance (STG) and Vulcan Forged (PYR) around 21:00 Turkish time on November 6, 2026, according to cryptonews.net. The decision followed routine platform asset reviews, though the exchange did not share specific details beyond tokens failing to meet listing criteria. Customers will keep the ability to withdraw STG and PYR balances to self-custodial wallets after trading ends.
Separately, the exchange notified European Economic Area users that non-MiCA compliant stablecoins will be automatically converted into Circle's USDC on October 30, 2026. The mandatory conversion impacts holdings in Tether (USDT), PayPal USD (PYUSD), and Dai (DAI).
